The article in several aspects investigates the use of the issues related to genius lokus in the high school - a particular unique atmosphere of a certain space that is not accidental in the artist's work. The spirituality of the family environment, the local landscape of the native land, the various phenomena of everyday life as a human motivational impulse of creativity are distinguished, through which the artist is represented as a living figure against the background of characteristic signs of the space. Examples are given, taking into consideration given the updating of the regional approach.
Content analysis of existing textbooks and art programs made it possible to distinguish several vectors of comprehension of the phenomenon of Ukrainian art, including: informational (predominant), socio-pedagogical, art. At the same time, we state the separation of the material from the moral and aesthetic dimensions of the human life world, a personalized approach.
The "place of power" is each of their own. It is a local impetus that cannot be ignored, resulting in genius locus - genius of place, that is, a unique atmosphere, spirit, nature of a certain space. "Genius of place" can be everything that makes this place unique - its natural features (relief, climate, plants, reservoirs ...), family, personality, sounds, aromas, architecture ...
But in the process of time, it is becoming more and more obvious to appeal to a more specific (personalized, landscape, or other) context of the day in which the artist lived. This will allow the elimination of the nature of the presentation of the material, to dive into the sincerity and frankness of biographical family facts, which will bring students closer to the basic motivational ideas of artists.
The purpose of the article is to update the inclusion in the context of school art education of the problem of genius lokus as human studies (family, landscape, existence…) environment as a motivational impulse of creativity.
Here are examples of "inlay" of art lessons of family and local lore aspect, presenting the students "place" of artists, the field on which their work has grown and nourished.
Opening a different way by immersing in the origins of creativity, touching the fact (event, thought), which gave strength, we pay the students' attention to the desired finding and their own "place of power" - any space, corner of the earth, personality, where and with which a person feels himself. And if its location is found, it will help to overcome the sense of life at the level of "flatness", triviality, fear and will become an impulse to obtain a person's state of Gorishny.
