Methodology for organizing students’ artistic and creative activities in a videoclip format

The article presents a methodology for organizing students’ artistic and creative activities in the format of master classes (videos) for the integrated course “Art” lessons in grade 8, within the context of studying art styles. The methodology is developed based on a competency-based approach, taking into account the principle of variability in practical tasks.
The structural elements of a video clip as an informational and methodological tool for organizing workshops are defined and characterized. The video format allows not only to demonstrate the process of performing the work step by step, but also to accompany the demonstration with methodological commentary (oral explanations, additional illustrations), and, if desired or necessary, with musical accompaniment, which creates a holistic educational product.
Videos for practical classes and the application of various methods and techniques described in the article contribute to the expansion of students' artistic and emotional experiences, developing their aesthetic taste, observation, and ability to create artistic images independently. The main thing that a teacher should be guided by when creating a video clip is to adhere to a clear logical structure, which includes the following stages: target (provides for explanations of the idea, options for completing the task, as well as updating students’ knowledge and motivation), activity (designed to reveal the sequence of implementing the concept in accordance with the chosen artistic technique), reflective (presentation of the work and evaluation of the results). The article is illustrated with examples of artistic and creative tasks, ranging from an interactive electronic application to a textbook for the integrated course “Art” in grade 8, by L. M. Masol.
