Abstract

The article highlights the successful experience of participating in an international educational and art grant project implemented at the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (Ukraine) during 2021.

The purpose and task of the “InArt” project, the peculiarities of its preparation, implementation and presentation of results during participation in the non-commercial educational project for youth “Concept school. University edition” from Edison Space with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) “Economic Support of Eastern Ukraine”. The students of higher education in cooperation with teachers and graduates of the same university initiated the project. The project is aimed at ensuring the formation of professional competences of a higher education student who knows the methods and technologies of working with students with special educational needs in the conditions of the modern reform of the education system in Ukraine. The results of implementing the “InArt” project carried out in the Laboratory of the New Ukrainian School of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts of the Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, are outlined. The Laboratory is equipped with special equipment purchased with the funds of the grantor.

A review of the received equipment and tools involved in the implementation of events and the organization of the educational process of higher education applicants was carried out. This confirmed targeted use of grant funds. Features of using the equipment and tools during lectures, practical classes, master classes, trainings and applying innovative methods and technologies in the practical training of higher education applicants are characterized. These measures contributed to familiarizing students with correctional equipment and the possibility of further use in working with students with special educational needs.

The project had a social effect, as the mastered methods, techniques and technologies allowed future teachers to demonstrate greater efficiency, productivity and readiness to work with students with special educational needs already at the stage of training in secondary schools. The project made it possible to combine the efforts of higher education graduates, their teachers and graduates of the faculty, and therefore, contributed to their interaction and professional cooperation.

Considering the successful implementation of this project, the recommendations were given to scholars, teachers of higher education institutions regarding the identification of opportunities and prospects for active participation in grant projects and their implementation.
