The article describes the research of how to implement the creation of a museum of the composer, poet and public figure of Volodymyr Skuratovskyi based on the institution of elementary art education – Dnipro Children’s Music School No. 6 named after V. I. Skuratovskyi. Materials and exhibition space of the museum are actively used in the educational process of this institution and unites the museum community and ordinary listeners of the city and region around it. The establishment of the museum was and facilitated by the organizational, research and pedagogical work of the author of the article together with colleagues of the Children’s Music School No. 6 named after V. I. Skuratovskyi and like-minded people. The development of the concept of the museum, the filling of its funds and the deployment of the exhibition were preceded by the experience of the author of the article. She visited and analyzed museum exhibitions of Ukrainian and European museums of composers, understood her own vision of the museum’s activities through the prism of the needs of modern students and the tasks of elementary music education.

The stages of the creation of the museum, its concept, mission and task of activity, features of the creation and filling of the exposition and its use in the educational process of the children’s music school are highlighted. The forms of working with the audience of students and parents at the museum location based on museum pedagogy are the following: thematic excursions, lessons, museum-poetry evenings, lectures-concerts, exhibitions, creative projects. The author emphasizes on the creative Project “Museum Bridges” during 2022-2023 launched in cooperation with institutions of elementary art education of various cities. The implementation of the first stage of the creative project in the commonwealth with the Odessa School of Arts No. 1 named after Emil Gilels, the events that took place within the scope of the project are described.

It was concluded that Volodymyr Skuratovskyi’s interactive museum in the institution of elementary art education is a cultural and artistic center for familiarization and study of the composer’s work. Moreover, it contributes to education of modern children’s spiritual values, cultural and moral guidelines based on national music, as well as it helps to create a unique artistic space, where the memory of the past is felt and preserved, the present is realized and the future is formed.
