Children’s song repertoire: Analysis and study at music lessons

The article deals with the problem of song repertoire for junior schoolchildren as part of the study of the subject "Art" in a secondary school. The textual and musical components of songs for elementary school students proposed by modern Ukrainian authors and used in the textbooks "Art" (on the example of textbooks for 1st grades) are analyzed. The tendencies of the song repertoire of modern Ukrainian authors for the children's audience and the peculiarities of their performance with "live" accompaniment and soundtrack are highlighted. The positive and negative aspects of the use of phonograms in the musical education of younger schoolchildren are highlighted, methodological advice is given.
