Monitoring the state of organization of educational activity of the branch of “Art”

The article deals with the issue of monitoring the state of organization of educational activity of the branch of “Art” in institutions of general secondary education. The stages of the monitoring research carried out by the authors during the 2014-2019 academic years based on Khmelnitskyi OIPPO with the participation of methodologists of subjects of art-aesthetic cycle of district/city/methodical offices of OTG, heads and teachers of art of general educational institutions are presented. Quantitative and qualitative research data are shown.
The recommendations how to improve the identified situation have emphasized the need to report the results of the study to regional institutions of general secondary education, local education departments, methodologists of district education departments, heads of united territorial communities and their education departments, as well as communities and parents that will improve the state of organization of educational artistic brunch and influence positively the quality of teaching of art objects.
The attention is drawn for methodologists, who organize training of art teachers, how to important to show the examples of solving difficult work situations that extends the boundaries of the “tunnel vision” of the problem and helps to find a solution.
The author focuses on the need to identify the leader qualities of a teacher who would: advocate art lessons against the head of the institution, parents, community in the form f speeches at pedagogical meetings, parent and community meetings; present facts about the importance of knowledge of the arts for passing the ZNO and choosing the future profession; demonstrate the results of creative projects involving students (exhibitions, concerts, holidays, performances, entertainment, etc.).
