Information For Authors
Dear authors!
We invite you to submit your articles for publication in the scientific and methodical journal “Art and Education”, which is included in the List of scientific professional editions of Ukraine, in which the results of dissertations for the obtaining academic degrees of PhD and Dr. Sci. can be published.
Read the following requirements for articles, peer review and publishing process
Manuscript Requirements
The manuscript should be written in Ukrainian, English or Russian in a scientific style and should not contain grammatical errors.
The manuscripts should conform to the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine to the professional publications and the journal’s aims and scope.
The manuscript should include the following elements:
- Introduction – statement of the problem in general and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks (5-10 lines);
- Analysis of the main researches and publications, which initiated the solution of this problem as well as they are the basis of the author’s study, the selection of previously unresolved issues of the general problem (2-4 paragraphs);
- Formulation of the purpose of the article (statement of the objective) (5-7 lines);
- Outline of the main research material justifying the scientific results obtained (from 5-6 pages of the text);
- Conclusions from the described research and prospects of further research in this direction (up to 1 page);
- References (up to 5-7 sources).
General requirements:
- The Manuscript length is 8-10 pages including all abstracts and references (12000 characters with spaces); 12-14 pages (for Dr. Sci.) (14000 characters with spaces).
- The text should be typed in text editor MS Word.
- Main text – font Times New Roman, 14 pt, regular, strings without hyphens, line spacing - 1,5 cm; all margins – 2 cm, first line indent – 1 cm. Page numbers – at the right in the bottom of the page.
- All colour illustrations must be sent at resolutions of at least 300 dpi
The manuscript structure:
- UDC (at the top left corner, bold). See: Universal Decimal Classifier: http://www.udcc.org/udcsummary/php/index.php?lang=uk);
- Last name, first name, patronymic of the author (authors); scientific degree, affiliation, city, country, e-mail address (at the top right corner, bold italics);
- TITLE OF ARTICLE (capital letters, bold; centered text);
- Abstract (550-600 characters with spaces - 5-8 lines) and key words (up to 5-7 words) in Ukrainian (bold italic);
- The text of the article;
- Citations in the text: [1, p. 25]; several sources are separated by a semicolon [2, p. 47; 4, p. 5]; drawings and diagrams must be connected with the text;
- References in APA style (American Psychological Association, font size – 12 pt. References (up to 7 sources) should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. Use of the DOI is highly encouraged.
- Information in Russian (italics): last name, first name, patronymic, scientific degree, affiliation, city, country, e-mail address; the title of the article, abstract (550-600 characters with spaces - 5-8 lines) and key words (up to 5-7 words) (bold italic).
- Information in English (italics): last name, first name, patronymic, scientific degree, affiliation, city, country, e-mail address; the title of the article, abstract (1800 characters with spaces) and key words (up to 5-7 words) (bold italic).
If the article is in Russian, the abstracts must be in Ukrainian and Russian (500 characters with spaces) and in English (1800 characters with spaces).
If the article is in English, the abstracts must be in Ukrainian (1800 characters with spaces) and in English and Russian (500 characters with spaces).
- the submission date (single-spaced, italics, right-aligned text).
The following information must be submitted on separate sheets:
- The abstract in Ukrainian is the analogue of abstract presented in English.
- Information about the author (authors): last name, first name, patronymic, scientific degree, affiliation, home and business address with postcode, contact phone number, e-mail (required), and also – postcode , address and number of the Nova Poshta (for sending of the author’s copy at the request).
- 3. Authorship Statement (in the attached file).
The manuscript must be sent:
- The Editorial office address in 2 copies – paper version of A4 sheet and electronic version in WORD saved in *.doc on CD-R, CD-RW (see Editorial Office address: 9, M. Berlynskoho Str., Office 415, 04060, Kyiv, Ukraine, Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Journal “Art and Education”);
- The articles also can be emailed to artedu77@gmail.com
- The manuscript also can be submitted personally to the Editorial Office

The Editorial Board reserves the right to revise the manuscript.
If the article is revised by the author during the processing before publication, the submission date is the date of submission of the final text.
The manuscripts with negative response from the reviewer are not published and also are not returned to the author.
Publication fee
The publication fee of scientific articles in the journal “Art and Education” is carried out by the authors. The current charge per page will be determined at the time of publication. Payment is made only after peer reviewing and approval of the manuscript for publication by the Editorial Board. Payment is made only after an official confirmation email.
