Abstract

The article highlights the problem of teaching future music teachers in institutions of higher education of Ukraine in terms of mastering the Ukrainian folk song performance, which has a positive impact on the national education of youth. It is noted that the study of the peculiarities of Ukrainian folk song performance by future music teachers in institutions of higher education is an important component of the process of their professional training and personal development.

The peculiarities of Ukrainian folk song performance as well as folk singing style (natural sound, moderate vibration of voice; diction close to spoken language; natural main reasoning; dense chest sounding; specificity of performing means) are considered. It is noted about the influence of Ukrainian folk song performance on the national formation of future music teachers that provides opportunities for deep knowledge and transfer of musical culture of their people with its ideals and artistic values. Moreover, through them it ensures formation of nationally oriented consciousness, views, beliefs, which is one of the most pressing tasks of art education nowadays.

The methodological aspects of teaching folk singing to students in institution of higher education are determined that involves work in several areas, selection of appropriate exercises, repertoire. The requirements to the repertoire for mastering folk performance are the following: its artistic and pedagogical, educational potential given the education of spiritual, moral and aesthetic, national and patriotic qualities of future music teacher; ensuring knowledge, preservation, development and promotion of Ukrainian song art; correspondence to age features and vocal abilities of performers; variety of folk songs - works of the region, characterized by their local style, song and language traditions; correspondence to artistic and aesthetic criteria of modern concert and stage practice.
