Abstract

The article is devoted to the essence and features of introduction of art projects method in professional training of future music teachers in college. The art project method is considered as an artistic and creative product, the result of students’ purposeful research activities, which is based on a musical-artistic idea, focused on the successful solution of musical and pedagogical tasks by students.

It is shown that the art projects method is an effective means of organizing independent research, artistic and practical activities of future professionals – music teachers during which students summarize and synthesize knowledge from different courses, improve performance skills, develop musical and creative abilities as well as artistic communication skills.

The author presents the example of practical implementation of the art project “I go further, I go to the light” on the occasion of the 123rd anniversary of Viktor Kosenko’s birthday in the context of studying the topic “Romantic principles of V. Kosenko’s work” on the history of Ukrainian music. It is concluded that the effective organization of the art project with students is facilitated by: a topical issue related to the study of musical and cultural heritage of the native land, which students are interested in, practically aimed at future work with students; stages and sequence of work of all participants at all stages of the project; students’ participation with other categories of project participants who will represent their direction of work in the project – cultural figures, professional musicians-performers, etc.; presentation of project results in an interesting form that synthesizes different types of artistic activities of students (music and literature salon, lecture-concert, tour-concert, etc.); directing information and research work of students “beyond” the discipline, expanding and enriching the artistic awareness of future professionals; designing how to use the experience of working in the project during pedagogical practice with students; organization of the art project in the space of a museum, concert hall, theatre.

It is noted that the artistic and practical aspect of the introduction of the art project method in professional training of future teachers-musicians requires artistic organization of content; practical orientation of the final result on the cultural and creative product; musical and pedagogical orientation in order to intensify the artistic and pedagogical activities of students.
