Abstract

The article presents the author’s pedagogical experience in implementing a teaching technology for creating educational and creative compositions within the academic drawing course for Bachelor’s students majoring in 023 “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration”. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to preserve academic traditions of art education while adapting them to contemporary sociocultural challenges, including the formation of national identity, creative motivation, and professional self-realization of future artists.

The study substantiates the pedagogical value of combining classical academic methods of plaster form analysis with creative reinterpretation of images from national cultural heritage. Using the example of creating graphic compositions based on the image of Olena Pchilka, the article reveals a step-by-step structure of the author’s teaching technology, which includes conceptual-motivational, analytical-academic, creative-transformational, and presentation-reflective stages.

Special attention is paid to the creation of a Genius Locus educational environment as a motivational space that integrates academic training with cultural and historical context, thereby enhancing students’ emotional engagement in the learning process. The proposed approach demonstrates that it enables a shift from reproductive task execution to conscious creative activity, fostering analytical and imaginative thinking, professional reflection, and responsible attitudes toward artistic practice.

The study concludes that integrating academic drawing with the reinterpretation of Ukrainian cultural heritage images represents an effective pedagogical tool for modernizing art education and can be recommended for teaching professional art disciplines in Ukrainian higher education institutions.Prospects for further research include adapting the proposed pedagogical technology to other professionally oriented art disciplines and employing digital and interdisciplinary approaches to create an educational and creative learning environment.
