Abstract

The article considers the main provisions of the innovative method of Simultaneous Learning by P. Harris, which is used in the process of learning to play musical instrument. Its main provisions are covered in detail: the use of proactive learning, learning through the components of a musical work, creating links between different aspects of learning music, creating a situation of success.

The method of "simultaneous learning" is based on the psychophysiological features of the learning process in accordance with the age of the child. The learning process by the method provides simultaneous solution of tasks: development of creativity, adherence to a certain structure in the learning process, learning without stress, learning without mistakes, learning more music material, achieving a sense of "flow", development of musicality, development of harmonious musician, implementation of individual approach.

Each lesson using the method should include: integrating the material, how it relates to the previous one, and teach the student to find these connections; presentation of new material; making connections between lessons, when the student understands that each new lesson is a continuation not only of the previous lesson, but also of his homework.

Any effective learning should be based on the principles that the student adheres to constantly, both in class and at home during independent lessons. These principles should be determined jointly by the teacher and the student and their observance should be given attention in each lesson. To understand the work of the method, the article simulates a fragment of a lesson of learning to play the violin.

The most important thing in this method is to create in the student a positive attitude to playing a musical instrument and belief in their own strength, the use of proactive thinking. This innovative method is successfully used in music lessons abroad (UK, USA and other countries), as well as the author of the article in recent years of professional activity.
