The problem of modernizing future music teachers' professional training content is raised. The selective author’s courses implemented in the educational process of the Faculty of Arts of the Volodymyr Hnatyuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University are presented, which are related to the topics of musical thinking, perception, analysis and interpretation of music, their extrapolation to the content of the practice of general artistic education.
The purpose of the article is to highlight the prospects for modernizing the content of professional methodological and performance training of future teachers of musical art (integrated course “Art”). The task of the article is to briefly highlight the results of testing selective author’s courses related to the topic of musical thinking, perception, analysis and interpretation of music, their extrapolation to the content of the practice of general art education, implemented in the educational process of the Faculty of Arts of Volodymyr Hnatyuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University.
A summary of the tasks and content of the selective professional courses “Analysis and Interpretation of Music: Performance and Pedagogical Aspects”, “Interpretation of Musical Works: Genre-Style Approach”, “Interpretation of Piano Works by Ukrainian Composers”, abstracts-illustrations of creative projects allow us to assert the relevance of updating the performance instrumental repertoire, in particular the Ukrainian one, in the performance practice of higher education students as a means of ensuring a high level of performance and methodological training of a musician-teacher, and an effective connection “university – school”.
The following excerpts from the project, which briefly represent a retrospective of Ukrainian piano miniatures, include well-known and little-known examples of the work of composers associated with Ternopil (place of birth, performing and pedagogical activities, etc.), testify to the relevance of the search and research project local “living history” as one of the effective ways to extrapolate the performing, methodological, and research activities of higher education students to the tasks of general educational practice.
The combination of performing, methodological and research activities of future teachers of music art in order to extrapolate them to the tasks of general art education practice in the context of modern socio-political challenges, online learning, processes of using computer technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) becomes an important factor in the formation of critical and creative thinking of the younger generation, in the understanding of national and cultural identity in general.
