The article is dedicated to the theoretical understanding of the cultural phenomenon of artistic dynasties, using the example of the life, creativity, and cultural-artistic path of the Nagirny and Tsisyk families.
The cultural phenomenon of an “artistic dynasty” is viewed as a spiritual connection across generations, rooted in the unique human nature of artists. This connection reflects the repetition of significant family events as loyalty to ancestors through emulation, serving as an emotional genetic response to family history that defines the artistic direction of the entire lineage’s existence.
The historical and cultural dimension of the artistic dynasty phenomenon highlights that the life and creative work of the Nagirny-Tsisyk dynasty representatives reflect the Ukrainian people’s complex cultural and historical fate. The continuity of this artistic dynasty, along with the cultural-historical experience of their lineage, serves as a worthy model for emulation – especially for the younger generation. The Nagirny-Tsisyk dynasty is united not only by genetic heritage but also by the power of talent, the greatness of cultural and artistic contributions, perseverance in achieving dreams, a strong desire for the development and affirmation of Ukrainian art in the global cultural arena, steadfast patriotism, national self-awareness, human dignity, and boundless love for their native land.
The interplay between dynastic (familial, genetic) and Ukrainian national elements finds artistic expression in the dynasty's rich cultural and artistic legacy. The succession of artistic dynasties as a dialogue between the present, past, and future, and the continuity of artistic traditions as a cultural-historical memory of generations, serves as a national sword and the foundation of the Ukrainian people’s spirituality.
The development and affirmation of the Ukrainian nation’s spiritual culture today are inextricably linked with addressing gaps in the cultural sphere of our state's development, exploring the true history of the life and creative work of Ukrainian cultural figures, and understanding and reflecting on their creative heritage. Highlighted pages of the lives of iconic figures in Ukrainian culture and art (including members of the Nagirny-Tsisyk dynasty) strengthen the sense of the greatness of the Ukrainian people and inspire the discovery of spiritual strength in their creative legacy for today's daily struggle for Ukraine's sovereignty.
