Abstract

The article examines plasticineography as an effective technology for the artistic and creative development of children of primary school age in the conditions of various educational institutions – institutions of general secondary education, out-of-school education, primary art education.

The materials and peculiarities of work in the “plasticine painting” technique and the stages of creating decorative compositions on various subjects are described. Plasticineography is considered as a means of embodying artistic images.

The author’s project “Garden of Love and Joy of Ukraine – Country of Fulfillment of Dreams” and its results are presented.

Some examples of different-level tasks in plasticine for primary school students with visual and verbal support are given.

Conclusions have been made about the positive influence of plasticineography as one of the complex pedagogical technologies, which has a multifunctional value and can be directed in pedagogical practice to solving many tasks: general development of the child (development of mental processes – thinking, imagination, memory, attention), artistic development (formation of methods and techniques of working with plastic materials, mastering methods of creating a decorative composition), artistic and creative development (creation and implementation of own ideas). Using plasticine in the art therapy practice of working with children and adults (for therapeutic purposes) is effective, as well as the use of elements of art therapy in pedagogical practice (to influence the psycho-emotional state of the child, improve it through the child’s reproduction of his inner state in an image, verbalization of a figurative series in inventing and telling one’s fairy tale, story, etc.).

Observations of the authors by the project participants proved the project’s positive impact on the emotional sphere of children, for whom the process of creation and the created artistic images – meaningful and bright – bring pleasure and joy of creativity. The authors see the perspective of this project in developing new images that embody the general image of Ukraine through artistic means. These same images help pupils to create their model of happiness in the blossoming Ukraine of the future that fulfills dreams.
