In the context of the problem of Easter eggs and Lemko painting, the study results of the multifaceted activity of the master of folk art Raisa Vasylivna Levdik from the city of Shostka, Sumy region, are highlighted. The milestones of her creative, pedagogical, and educational activity as a craftswoman and the profound significance of her achievements in the cultural and artistic life of the Shostka and Sumy regions are described. Historical information on the history of the family of Raisa Vasylivna Levdik is highlighted, in which the traditions of Lemko painting were transferred from generation to generation and which the craftswoman now transmits to her young descendants in her own family, as well as pupils of the circle “Pysanka in Children’s Palms” of Sergiy Kornienko EcoCentre, Shostka, Sumy region, where Raisa Vasylivna Levdik is its leader.
The craftswoman’s participation in events of the All-Ukrainian and international levels is highlighted, which testifies to the wide work in popularising the art of Easter eggs, developing Lemko Easter painting among the adult and children’s audience, and encouraging people to know the art and culture of Ukraine through their own artistic creativity.
Based on the analysis of scientific research by art critics, culturologists, and ethnographers, the authors briefly outlined the features of the Lemko Easter egg ornament, its history of creation and development, symbolism, and the technology of making an Easter egg with the Lemko ornament.
With the help of the QR code, a master class on the creation of an Easter egg with Lemko ornament performed by the family of Raisa Levdyk is given. The sequence of stages of making an Easter egg with Lemko painting is visually and verbally reproduced: the preparation of this process and its direct performance.
