The artistic and creative activity of the teacher of vocational pre-higher education as a factor in forming students’ special competencies

In the context of the problem of formation of students’ special competences in professional pre-higher education in the specialty 023 “Fine Art, Decorative Art, Restoration”, the impact on this process of the artistic and creative activity of their teachers (masters of decorative art) is considered.
It is determined that the education of students in the decorative and applied arts is focused on developing artistic and creative abilities, forming special competencies, and the traits of Ukrainian patriots as worthy successors of national traditions.
Under the current Standard of Vocational Pre-Higher Education, special competences are distinguished, which are formed based on the students’ study of the creative achievements of their mentor. It is noted that the creative activity of teachers of profession-oriented disciplines of the Kosiv Vocational College of Applied and Decorative Arts is one of the ways to effectively influence the level of professional training of applicants, as teachers are bearers of national traditions and experts of decorative and applied art technologies.
On the example of the artistic and creative activity of Hanna Yurievna Fartushynska, teacher of the cycle commission “Artistic Weaving, Artistic Embroidery and Modelling of Clothes”, her mentoring work with students, and the process of forming their storehouses of special competences is revealed. Forms of the craftswoman’s work with students are highlighted: demonstration of creative experience in the format of lectures and practical classes and consultations, master classes; participation in ethnographic festivals and creative projects; systematization and publication of search and research intelligence. Cooperation with the teacher allows students to build a sequence of stages of artistic and creative work doing the educational tasks: determining the direction of their own artistic and creative activity and choosing the topic of the work; identifying the goal and sequence of creative project implementation; creating a composition of an artistic product; development of variable solutions; the expediency of using forms, performance techniques and materials -
to strengthen the imagery of artistic thought; choosing ways to present one’s own experience. The curatorship of the craftswoman contributes to the successful professional development of students in various creative projects, exhibition activities, etc.
