At the same time, in the context of current reform there is a need to rethink historical and pedagogical experience, theory and practices of scientific areas based on the personal achievements of educators. The main reasons are requirements to update the content, methods and forms of artistic education in school practice, to implement the principles of national orientation of the content of education, culture-related educational process, enhancement of cultural developmental dominant of personal development.
The author analyzes the achievements of both Ukrainian ethnomusicology experts and personalities who have proved the uniqueness of Ukrainian folk songs by their own research, teaching and gathering activities that must be properly mastered by students of general educational institutions. There is a necessity to use experience of well-known ethnomusicology experts who formulated methodological tools for studying folk song experience, applied interpretive methods, systematized song texts, affirmed the professional fundamentals of textology and genre folklore for several centuries. Studying the achievements of Ukrainian ethnomusicology, students are involved in sacredness of the folkloric word. Moreover, students’ axiological and cultural guidelines for the preservation and enhancement of their respective cultural achievements are developed.
