Artistic communication in the field of artistic education: Theory, practice, innovation

The article focuses on the role of artistic education as an important factor of formation of artistic perception in the educational environment. Theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of “artistic communication” in the context of formation of modern artistic education has been carried out. The purpose of the article is to identify features of artistic communication through the prism of the interaction between subjects and objects of artistic activity as a specific form of information transmission by means of art; to outline new facets of artistic education as an important factor of the formation of artistic perception in the educational environment. The innovative form of artistic communication, implemented in a higher education institution, is an important factor of formation of the communicative competence of future teachers of artistic specialties. Artistic communication as a holistic activity with the intellectual and emotional component creates favorable conditions for person’s development of potential creative possibilities through the spiritualized way of educational action (living and experiencing in action), aimed at the realization of person’s own self, which fully corresponds to humanitarian nature of modern pedagogical education with its humanistic orientation. Implementing in general education institutions of the content communication line “Communication through Art” (the educational branch of “Art”) provide, first of all, the formation of students’ skills in presenting their own artistic achievements, the ability to communicate with others through art and with art, consciously enjoying the diversity of inter-artistic interaction (inter-medial aspect).
The author concludes that: artistic communication as a holistic kind of pedagogical activity contributes to the development of personality’s potential creative abilities through the sensory experience of educational actions; artistic communication as an important component of artistic education develops under the influence of modern information and communication processes caused by scientific and technological progress; artistic communication involves the interaction not only of subjects but also objects of the communicative process, which include: artistic work, the author’s image, society, historical epoch, artistic process.
