Abstract

The article deals with the organization of professional before higher education of arts in college of arts. Based on analysis of art education needs, the authors presents their own reflections how to improve it, as well as the ways how to solve pedagogical, psychological, organizational, personnel, legal, material and financial issues in order to provide high-quality professional training of future music teachers according to the updated content of education and promote the formation of key competencies of students – future music teachers in college of arts. Among the authors’ suggestions are the following: improvement of students’ skills of foreign languages ​​at the expense of additional hours and internships in other countries within the framework of the projects; mastering of music editors (Finale, Sibelius, MuseScore, etc.) at IT lessons; introduction of the practice of working with a microphone at the elective course “Actor’s Skills”; introduction and presentation of creative student’s projects at student conferences and festivals; improvement of information and legal provision on the college website through the typical educational programs, the list of electronic literature, in particular in e-book, as well as information on the activities of the student council and other projects; creation of a favourable psychological atmosphere in team of the institution during concerts and other events; increasing students’ competence through cooperation with the public, cultural institutions; improvement of the material and technical base of the institutions by attracting sponsorship; financial encouragement for teaching staff and college students at the expense of funding, etc.

The authors analyze normative documents, which regulate the activity of institutions of professional before higher education of arts (college of arts). Moreover, they give a list of key and professional competencies which testifies the junior specialists’ readiness to musical and pedagogical activities.
