Exhibition of children’s artistic creativity and its transformation in modern educational realities

In the context of the problem of exhibitions and exhibition activity, the aspect of the exhibition of children’s artistic creativity is considered. The typology of exhibitions is presented. The concept of an art exhibition and an exhibition of children’s artistic creativity is clarified. The peculiarities of its preparation and holding at educational institutions are revealed.
The exhibition of children’s artistic creativity has a special place in the typology of exhibitions. Moreover, it presents the results of children’s artistic creativity. Such exhibitions were a traditional form of visual demonstration of children’s artistic and creative activities based on various educational institutions, which was its main purpose. Therefore, scientists and practitioners developed recommendations of how it organize and conduct. Today’s objective conditions have brought changes to the exhibition activities of cultural and educational institutions: the functions of exhibitions have undergone a transformation (new functions were added to the main presentation room that were not previously associated with this type of activity – life-saving and health-saving, recreational, psycho-therapeutic and art-therapeutic, as well as educational function was updated), locations and formats of their implementation (new, non-traditional ones appeared), the synthesis of demonstration-presentational and electronic methods of presenting visual information led to the emergence of virtual exhibitions and new professions.
Electronic (virtual) exhibitions as a public demonstration on the Internet using the means of web technologies of virtual images of specially selected and systematized works of art has significant opportunities for artists and viewers, and vulnerable moments. At the same time, virtual exhibitions of children’s artistic creativity organized by cultural and educational institutions are becoming a reality and are used in educational practice.
Such exhibitions become especially relevant when it is necessary to carry out the online educational process. In addition to the main goal – to demonstrate to the general public the results of the students’ artistic creativity, a teacher can solve a number of educational tasks related to the need to immerse children and students in a certain artistic environment, organizing types of artistic activities, creating artistic impressions, gamification – as an additional motivation for further understanding art.
