ARCHIVING AND LONG-TERM PRESERVATION
The journal “Art and Education” ensures the long-term preservation of published materials and their continuous availability to the scholarly community. The Editorial Board considers archiving an integral component of responsible scholarly communication and a guarantee of preserving the academic record.
Archiving and long-term preservation are carried out using modern electronic publishing technologies, including the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, the OAI-PMH protocol for metadata harvesting, and the DOI system via Crossref, which ensures persistent identifier (DOI) ensuring permanent access to each publication regardless of changes in web infrastructure.
Published materials are integrated into national and international scholarly repositories, library collections, and information systems, ensuring their long-term preservation and the availability of independent access channels. Mandatory copies are deposited with the National Library of Ukraine named after V. I. Vernadskyi.
The Editorial Board provides backup storage of all materials and ensures their recovery in the event of technical failures. Continuous open access to the journal archive is guaranteed.
The electronic archive provides full-text access to issues published since 2010. Earlier issues (1996–2009) are preserved in library collections and are undergoing gradual digitization for future inclusion in the online archive.
In the event of journal discontinuation, archived issues will remain accessible through library collections, repositories, and other scholarly preservation systems.
Self-Archiving
The journal supports open access principles and encourages the dissemination of research results.
Authors are allowed to:
- deposit the published version of the article (Publisher’s PDF) on personal websites, academic profiles, or institutional repositories;
- store and share the Author’s Accepted Manuscript (AAM).
When depositing materials, authors must provide a link to the official publication, including the DOI.
The Author’s Accepted Manuscript must clearly indicate the journal “Art and Education” as the original source of publication.
