ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE USAGE POLICY

The Editorial Board of the journal “Art and Education” recognizes the growing role of artificial intelligence technologies in scholarly communication and permits their use in the preparation of manuscripts, provided that the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and author responsibility for the content of the research are strictly observed.

The use of artificial intelligence tools (including generative models for working with text, images, or data) is allowed исключительно as an auxiliary means. Such tools may be employed for technical purposes, including language editing, stylistic improvement, translation, structuring of the text, or preparation of supplementary illustrative materials.

At the same time, artificial intelligence must not replace the author’s scholarly contribution. The use of AI is considered unacceptable in the following cases:

• generating or substituting scientific results;
• producing hypotheses, conclusions, or interpretations without appropriate authorial input;
• fabrication or falsification of data;
• creation of texts, images, or other materials that may mislead regarding their origin.

Authors bear full responsibility for the content of submitted materials regardless of the tools used. When AI tools are employed, authors must verify the accuracy of all data, the correctness of references, the validity of citations, and the compliance of the manuscript with scholarly standards.

Artificial intelligence tools may not be listed as authors or co-authors of a publication, as they do not possess legal or academic responsibility for the research.

Authors are required to disclose the use of AI in the preparation of their manuscript. This information should be provided in a note or a dedicated section of the article, specifying the name of the tool and the nature of its use.

For example: During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used ChatGPT (OpenAI) for language and stylistic editing. The final version of the text was reviewed and approved by the author(s), who assume full responsibility for its content.

Editors and reviewers may use artificial intelligence tools solely for technical support in the evaluation process (e.g., language or structural analysis). However, uploading unpublished manuscripts to third-party AI services that may compromise confidentiality is strictly prohibited.

Any unethical or non-transparent use of artificial intelligence is considered a violation of publication ethics and may result in rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
