Анотація

Пошук шляхів сприяння залученню учнів до навчання є одним із найважливіших наукових напрямків у сучасній освіті. Залучення трактується як високий рівень зацікавленості, виражений через поведінкові, когнітивні та емоційні категорії, або як сукупність елементів зосередженості, внутрішнього інтересу, інтерактивності, мотивації та функціональності. Залученість до навчання може бути перевірена шляхом вивчення конкретного контексту та виміряна за допомогою різних інструментів. У цьому дослідженні методологія тематичних досліджень проекту CASE цілеспрямовано застосовувалась у другому класі литовської школи протягом двох місяців, коли 24 учні вивчали основи наук через творчість. Наприкінці періоду реалізації проекту діти створили та виконали театралізовану історію, пов’язану з науковими проблемами.

Основним методом збору даних у дослідженні був обраний photovoice, якісний метод, що застосовується для документування та відображення реальності, який допоміг почути голос дітей, побачити інтеграцію мистецтва та науки їх очима. Суть навчання основ наук, що базується на мистецтві полягала у застосуванні художніх навичок, процесів та досвіду в нехудожніх дисциплінах та сферах, коли різні художні жанри використовувались для того, щоб надати дітям краще розуміння поняття чи теми, залучити їх до спільної діяльності та активізувати їх у навчанні.

Протягом усього проекту діти зробили 79 фотографій тих моментів власної участі у проекті, які вони вважали найбільш значущими; наприкінці проекту вони відібрали та описали 15 фотографій, які найкраще показали, як проект був реалізований. Результати дослідження показали, що наука, що базується на мистецтві, посилила мотивацію учнів до навчання, допомогла їм здобути різноманітний досвід та збільшила залученість у навчанні. Залученість студентів проявлялась у всіх трьох категоріях: поведінковому, емоційному та когнітивному. Більшість випадків залученості спостерігалось у роботі в парі чи групі та під час художньої практики.
